Our water probe connects to a wireless sensor. It measures the moist level, so if placed at the floor in the basement, it can tell you water is detected. You can also use in plant soil to keep track on when to water your plants.
The sensor returns a value from 0% to 100% where 0% is all dry and 100% all wet.
If you already have a Sensor and Gateway, you can always buy probes separately, as it can be used in many environments. The sensor is supplied with a piece of double sided tape for easy attachment of probe.
